Enviri Corporation (NYSE: NVRI) is the leftover "stub" of a breakup: after selling Clean Earth to Veolia and paying shareholders $15 per share, what remains is a steel-mill services business and a struggling rail equipment unit. Kingdom Capital Advisors (@kingdomcapadv) argues the stub can double by 2028 through a sale of the parts, while skeptics point to weak free cash flow. Enviri closed at $19.79 on October 8, 2026.

Is Enviri a good bet right now?
It is a bet on two fixes: steel markets recovering and the rail unit stopping its losses.
If both happen, the parts could be worth far more than the current market value. If not, cash burn could eat the upside.
Why are investors bullish on Enviri?
The bull case is a sum-of-the-parts discount:
- A profitable core. Harsco Environmental, which handles slag and metals recovery at steel mills, is guided to $170 million to $180 million of Adjusted EBITDA in 2026, according to Enviri's Q2 2026 results.
- Improving margins. That unit's Q2 2026 EBITDA margin rose to 17.2% from 15.5% a year earlier.
- Insider buying. Insiders bought after the breakup, which some investors read as a signal of management confidence.
- A natural exit. A smaller, simpler company is easier to sell.
Who's making this call and why?
Kingdom Capital Advisors (@kingdomcapadv) is an investment manager with about 12,500 followers on X that writes publicly about small, overlooked stocks.
In a September 25, 2026 post, it laid out its math. It counts about 28 million shares at $19, or a $530 million market value, and about $270 million of net debt. It values Harsco Environmental at $1.0 billion to $1.2 billion, assuming $200 million of EBITDA by 2028 at 5 to 6 times, plus about $100 million for Rail.
Using those figures, our arithmetic gives roughly $30 to $37 per share. That is before any recovery on a $133 million Network Rail accrual it flags as possible upside, and before cash generated through 2028, its expected sale date.
Its Q3 2026 letter, released October 6, 2026, repeats that it thinks NVRI is "worth double the current share price by 2028." The same letter reports a 15.52% decline for its composite in the third quarter.
Track record. In our tracking of Kingdom Capital Advisors' public calls, it is 4-14 (a .222 win rate) on 18 calls scored at 180 days against the S&P 500, with an average shortfall of 17.3 percentage points. Readers should weigh that record.
Supporter: Asif Suria of InsideArbitrage (@AsifSuria) flagged insider purchases after the breakup: "This new Enviri saw insider buying by two insiders including the CEO this week."
Who disagrees?
The main pushback is about cash.
On October 7, 2026, @CompoundAndSurf replied that the stock is "Cheap on EBITDA. Not on free cash flow." The account added that there is "a ton of potential upside torque" if the business grows.
Kingdom answered that "The free cash flow gets fixed by the rail contracts being fixed and by steel recovering".
Another investor, @aimandemircan, wrote in an August 19, 2026 post that he was cautious because of open Rail litigation and preferred to wait for a lower price.
What's the bear case for Enviri?
- Free cash flow is still negative. Adjusted free cash flow was negative $9 million in Q2 2026, better than negative $39 million a year earlier.
- Rail is losing money. Enviri is exiting two European engineered-to-order rail contracts, and Q2 2026 included a GAAP loss from continuing operations of $297 million.
- Steel is cyclical. Harsco Environmental's volumes depend on steel mill output.
- The 2028 target needs growth. $200 million of EBITDA is about 14% above the midpoint of 2026 guidance.
What are the key verifiable facts?
- Enviri completed the Clean Earth sale for about $3.04 billion and launched the new Enviri as a standalone company on June 1, 2026, per the company and its SEC filing.
- Regular-way trading in the new NVRI began on June 2, 2026.
- Net leverage was 1.9 times at the end of Q2 2026, per Enviri's results.
- The 2026 Rail Adjusted EBITDA guidance is a loss of $19 million to $26 million.
What would prove it right or wrong?
Signals the call is working:
- Rail losses narrow sharply in 2027 after the contract exits.
- Harsco Environmental EBITDA climbs toward $200 million.
- Free cash flow turns positive and stays positive.
- Enviri announces a sale of Rail or of the whole company.
Signals it is failing:
- Rail losses persist or new contract charges appear.
- Steel output weakens and Harsco Environmental margins slip.
- Net leverage rises above current levels.
