See what funding your business can likely get
Answer a few quick tap questions. You'll get an estimated amount and your options, ranked from the cheapest money to the most expensive. It's free and anonymous, and it doesn't touch your credit.
- Free
- No name or SSN needed
- No credit check
- About 3 minutes
How it works
- Answer a few questions. Things like how long you've been open, roughly what comes in each month, and what you need the money for. Ranges are fine.
- See your estimate. An estimated amount, plus which options look like a likely match, cheapest first.
- Choose what's next, or nothing at all. Start an application that only MCAFax reviews, or just save your estimate and go.
What we ask, and what we never ask
For the estimate we only ask about the business: time open, monthly deposits, credit range, any current cash advances, and what you need. We don't ask who you are. Nothing is saved unless you choose to apply.
We'll never ask for your Social Security number, bank login or account numbers.
Options we check, cheapest first
- Grants: money you don't pay back. Competitive, and never a fee to receive.
- SBA 7(a) loans: bank and credit-union loans partly guaranteed by the SBA. We share how they work and link our guide; we don't refer SBA loans. SBA eligibility: since March 1, 2026, every owner of the business (100%) must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national whose main home is in the U.S. or a U.S. territory. Green-card holders can't own any share.
- SBA Express loans: a faster-to-process kind of SBA loan for smaller amounts. Same SBA citizenship rule as 7(a).
- SBA Microloans: smaller loans from nonprofit community lenders, often with coaching. SBA eligibility: since April 1, 2026, every owner of the business (100%) must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national.
- Bank or credit union line of credit: borrow as you need it, up to a limit.
- Equipment financing: the equipment you buy helps back the loan.
- Invoice financing: money against invoices your business customers owe you.
- Merchant cash advance, as a last resort: usually the most expensive money there is. We don't recommend one for a new business or on top of an advance you already have. Illustration, not a quote: a $50,000 advance at a 1.35 factor rate is $67,500 to pay back, roughly 126% a year as an APR over about six months.
You can apply for any SBA loan directly with a lender. You don't need MCAFax or any agent. MCAFax doesn't take a fee on SBA loans, and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the SBA.
What the estimate is, and isn't
Your estimate is based only on your answers and on what SBA programs and lenders typically look for. It isn't an offer, a quote or an approval. No lender has reviewed your answers, and only a lender can make you an offer, after its own review. MCAFax is not a lender, and this isn't financial advice.
How MCAFax gets paid
The estimate is free and MCAFax never charges you a fee; lenders may pay us. If you're funded through a non-SBA option, like a bank line, equipment or invoice financing, or a cash advance, the lender may pay MCAFax a referral fee. Fees vary by product and never change your estimate. MCAFax doesn't take a fee on SBA loans. If you apply, only MCAFax reviews your application, and we won't send it to any lender without your separate written permission naming that lender.
Questions owners ask
Where can I get funding for my business?
Start with the cheapest money: grants, then SBA loans through a bank or credit union, then a bank line of credit, then equipment or invoice financing. Keep a merchant cash advance as the last resort.
Illustration, not a quote: a $50,000 advance at a 1.35 factor rate is $67,500 to pay back, roughly 126% a year as an APR over about six months.
Our free estimate shows which of these fit your business.
Is the estimate really anonymous?
Yes. We don't ask your name, email, phone or business name for the estimate, and we don't save your answers. If you choose to apply, we ask for your details then, and only with your OK.
Will this affect my credit score?
No. We don't check your credit. You just pick a range.
Is my estimate an approval or an offer?
No. It's an estimate based on your answers and on what lenders typically look for. It isn't an offer, a quote or an approval, and no lender has reviewed it. Only a lender can make you an offer, after its own review.
Does MCAFax lend money?
No. MCAFax is not a lender. If you apply, MCAFax reviews your answers and reaches out about your application.
Who sees my application?
Only MCAFax. We won't send it to any lender or anyone else unless you give us separate written permission that names the lender.
How does MCAFax get paid?
The estimate is free and MCAFax never charges you a fee; lenders may pay us. If you're funded through a non-SBA option, like a bank line, equipment or invoice financing, or a cash advance, the lender may pay MCAFax a referral fee. Fees vary by product and never change your estimate. MCAFax doesn't take a fee on SBA loans.
Do I need MCAFax to get an SBA loan?
No. You can apply for an SBA loan directly with a bank, credit union or SBA microloan lender. The SBA doesn't require you to use anyone to refer or package your loan. MCAFax shares how SBA loans work and links our guide, but doesn't refer SBA loans or take a fee on them. MCAFax isn't affiliated with or endorsed by the SBA.
How long do you keep my application, and can I delete it?
Once an application is closed, we keep it for 24 months and then delete it. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time by emailing info@mcafax.com. We keep a short record of your consent and any stop-contact request for 4 years.
Can you help businesses in every state?
You can get an estimate and apply from any state. In some states we can't currently connect owners with certain lenders, like cash-advance providers. If that applies to you, your estimate says so, and we'll still talk through the other options.
I already have a merchant cash advance. Can I still get funding?
Sometimes, from the cheaper options. Some providers will offer another advance on top of the one you have, but we recommend against it, because stacking usually makes the daily debits harder.
Illustration, not a quote: a $50,000 advance at a 1.35 factor rate is $67,500 to pay back, roughly 126% a year as an APR over about six months.
The estimate takes your current advances into account, and if you're falling behind, we'll point you to a guide on what to do first.
Can a brand-new business get funding?
Sometimes. New businesses have fewer options, but SBA Microloans and some SBA loans are built to help businesses start. Lenders usually want to see some of your own money in it. SBA loans also require every owner to be a U.S. citizen or U.S. national.
Why is a merchant cash advance listed last?
Because it's usually the most expensive money a small business can take.
Illustration, not a quote: a $50,000 advance at a 1.35 factor rate is $67,500 to pay back, roughly 126% a year as an APR over about six months.
We list cheaper options first so you can try them before you sign anything.
Should I pay a fee upfront to get funding?
No. Never pay an upfront fee just to get approved or to receive a grant. A real lender gives you the total cost in writing before you sign.
What will you never ask me for?
Your Social Security number, bank login or account numbers. If anyone asks for those to "approve" you, slow down.
